September 28 - October 2, 2010 - Annual Chowan County Fair - The Chowan County Regional Fair is good, clean, wholesome family fun. Located at the American Legion Post 40 on West Queen Street in Edenton, NC, the Fair offers rides for big and small, a variety of delicious foods, exhibits of local talent, and professional entertainment. The emphasis of the fair is on education of young and old through exhibits and displays. Free parking is available with tram rides to and from the parking lot and the Fair gates provided by the Edenton and Rocky Hock Lions Clubs. October 2, 2010 - Peanut Parade - Broad Street, Edenton, NC. Parade Starts 11am; Arts & Crafts 8am - 2pm. Come enjoy the parade and craft show and sale. Contact Joyce Lassiter for further details. October 2 - 3, 2010 - Annual Artrageous Art Extravaganza - Dare County Family Recreational Park, Kill Devil Hills. Featuring live demonstrations, kids hands-on activity booths, professional artist show and sell, artist quick draws, music, children's auction, delicious food and fun for the whole family. October 8 - 9, 2010 - REAL Fall Swap Meet - Kite, Surf, Standup. Buy, Sell, Trade. At the REAL Swap Meet you will find TONS of new and used gear, have the ability to sell your own used gear to other interested buyers, plus find the deals of the century on all the new gear in the REAL Flagship Store. October 9, 2010 - Scuppernong River Festival - Come join the locals for a full day of celebration and fun, followed by evening fireworks. Scuppernong River Festival, in Columbia, NC starts with the parade at 10am. Vendors, food, all-day entertainment at numerous locations. October 10, 2010 - Town of Duck Jazz Festival - The Town of Duck is hosting its annual Jazz Festival on the green in the Duck Town Park from 11 a.m. to dusk on the gazebo stage. October 29, 2010 - Wildfest - Friday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. A FREE celebration of wildlife and wildlands in eastern NC. This family event is loaded with hands-on activities for children.
